Falls Church, VA – Dec. 11, 2012 – Apollo, the leading provider of collaborative clinical multimedia management solutions for the healthcare industry, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with ClearDATA Networks, Inc., to host Apollo’s clinical multi-media management solution, Apollo EPMM® (Enterprise Patient Media Manager) in the cloud.
Apollo EPMM gives healthcare professionals the ability to securely collaborate while using their own best practices more efficiently and effectively. Apollo EPMM brings together all clinical media related to an individual patient from throughout the medical enterprise and makes it immediately and easily available to authorized personnel. The result is a more integrated clinical team, a dramatic increase in workflow efficiency and effectiveness, and improved patient outcomes at a lower cost. Using open system architecture, Apollo EPMM enables this clinical media to be integrated and accessed in the EMR, thus delivering a more complete “picture” of the patient to care providers. This approach precludes the need for PACS systems.
“This cloud-based model enables healthcare organizations of all sizes, as well as individual physicians and allied health professionals, to securely capture, manage and access clinical multimedia content from their desktop at a low subscription fee that includes full use of the application and all necessary storage,” said Mark Newburger, President and CEO of Apollo. “This ‘pay-as-you-go’ model removes the up-front capital expenditures and IT infrastructure typical of large scale information technology purchases and makes Apollo EPMM an operational budgetary item for its customers. This enables customers to increase storage capacity on the fly without investing in new infrastructure, personnel, or software.”
