APOLLO EARNS HEALTH CANADA CLASS II LICENCE FOR ENTERPRISE MULTIMEDIA MANAGEMENT
Falls Church, VA – November 26, 2013 – Apollo, the leading provider of clinical multi-media management solutions, today announced that it received a Health Canada Class II Medical Device Licence for its premier enterprise solution, Apollo EPMM®. Apollo also holds ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 certifications.
“We are very pleased to receive Health Canada Class II certification for Apollo EPMM. Now, health
systems across Canada can integrate Apollo EPMM into their clinical workflow to manage any digital
clinical multimedia, including whole slide images, DICOM images, endoscopy videos and other
multimedia from over 40 different specialties,” said Mark Newburger, President & CEO of Apollo.
Apollo EPMM is the only proven enterprise solution that enables all authorized providers to
collaborate for the benefit of the patient by providing a 360-degree view of patients’ health data.
Using the provider’s own best practices, Apollo EPMM brings the ability to consult in real-time with
the entire clinical team in a cost-effective, flexible, compliant and secure environment.
“Effectively accessing all clinical multimedia regardless of format and without degradation within the
clinical workflow is key for clinicians,” Newburger said. “Apollo EPMM is proven to be a more
effective solution than a VNA or a PACS – although Apollo EPMM can be added as a layer to existing
investments in these technologies.”
