Apollo to Present Clinical Pediatric Abuse Imaging Workshop at NASPAG
Apollo will sponsor a Pediatric
Abuse Image Capture and Management workshop at the North American Society for
Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (NASPAG) Annual Clinical and Research
meeting. The NASPAG meeting is in New Orleans, April 11-13, 2019. The Workshop
will be held on Friday April 12th.
Apollo’s Chief Clinical Officer,
Tom Campbell, will present with Dr. Marcella Donaruma, MD, Public Health
Pediatrics at Texas Children’s Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine. Dr.
Donaruma will present on the importance of accurate photo documentation during
physical exams and review the interpretation of abnormal findings in context of
patient history. Mr. Campbell will present the security requirements for
clinical pediatric suspected abuse imaging, HIPAA and chain of custody
considerations, and the appropriate integration with the electronic medical
record (EMR). Mr. Campbell will demonstrate best practices in capturing images for
suspected pediatric abuse and their associated documentation.
